Description

The Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis) is the largest of the North American hawks. It’s average wingspan is about 55 inches. It can be found in the open country of the American West, including southern Alberta and Manitoba in Canada.

This hawk is shown perched on Mopani wood from South Africa.

This Ferruginous Hawk has been cast in silicon bronze and given a heat patina.

This hawk contains 130 grams of bronze and has a wingspan of 15.8 cm (6.25 inches).

The base is granite.
