Asuka with Guitar was finished in summer, 2009.

This work is primarily a multi-layered masking process, both for the stocking and the skirt. The pattern on Asuka’s camisole was produced by creating a stencil from masking tape. The guitar has strings made from round styrene rods inserted into holes drilled with a pin vice. Asuka’s hair is shaded with pearlescent paint for texture and depth.

This work won the best anime and sci-fi category trophy in the Western Canadian Regional Model Contest 2009.
