Description

The hummingbird shown here is solid cast in yellow brass. It can also be cast in a silicon bronze or a white bronze.

The hummingbird is approximately 1:1 full scale in size. It is suspended from a 1/8 inch solid brass rod using 3.6 mm oval bronze cable chain that is attached to 5.5 mm bronze rings.

The hummingbird as pictured is mounted on 3 cm thick rough cut granite stone. It can also be mounted on a finished granite base.

The white bronze includes 58% copper, 1% lead and various amounts of manganese, zinc and aluminum. The silicon bronze contains 95% Cu, 4% Si, 1% Mn. The yellow brass has 63% copper, 1% lead, and various amounts of zinc and tin.
