This work is titled “Minuet in G”.

This work shows a 1:8 scale bronze cast figurine where the girl is playing Beethoven’s Minuet in G. This figure is custom made from solid bronze and my castings are all hot cast using a lost wax process. The music stand is a replica of one made by my great grandfather that I used during my music lessons while studying the violin. And yes, I played Beethoven’s Minuet in G.

This figure is cast in a natural bronze made from copper and tin. The body, legs, hands and head are cast separately and soldered together. Her hair and violin and bow are cast in a yellow brass. Her skirt is cast from a white bronze alloy that looks like silver.

The music stand was custom made and cast in a silicon bronze. The frame was cut from sheet brass and soldered to a custom copper box frame.

The chair was custom fabricated in wax and then cast from silicon bronze.

The work is made by hand. The figurine and all accessories are pinned and mounted on a natural granite base.
